New pipelay vessel headed for construction work this summer

The pipelay vessel Solitaire, after an extensive, fast-track construction program, enters worldwide service this summer. Solitaire will utilize full dynamic positioning (DP), enabling deepwater operations. Due to vessel size and a newly developed automatic welding system, high-lay speeds will be possible. Here is a discussion of some basic design features for the new addition to Allsea's construction fleet.
