DPWH revises guidelines on bidding road maintenance equipment, safety products

Public Works Secretary Simeon Datumanong has revised guidelines in the procurement of road maintenance and traffic control as well as safety products and devices. Datumanong made the revisions in a department order this month, when he also reconstituted the Central Bids and Awards Committee and designated other DPWH officials to new positions. In his order, Datumanong said that to preclude possible delays in the procurement of road maintenance and traffic control and safety products/devices, the procurement of these items is hereby decentralized in accordance with the existing procurement authority of the respective offices of the Department.
