Solid Cement cleared of selling sub-standard products

Solid Cement Corp. (SCC) has been vindicated of selling alleged "substandard" cement after the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) lifted recently its initial cease-and-desist order (CDO) against the sale, distribution and marketing of its cement products. However, the DTI will still conduct a monthly surveillance and monitoring audit of SCC's Antipolo plant. The DTI had conducted a new round of test on the cement products of SCC following the filling by SCC of a motion for retest. The DTI assured that it would lift its preliminary CDO against SCC if the results of the test prove that the firm's cement products meet required standards.
