London Section: Half-Day Technical Seminar on Practical Rail Stress Management, Held at South Bank University on Wednesday 25th April 2012

The overall theme of the Seminar was to answer an important question: Why is it important to manage the stress in rails and how do we prevent track buckles from happening? To address these fundamental points, the seminar took the form of a series of papers on the practical aspects of rail stress management and the prevention of track buckling. It dealt with the theory and the methods, tools and equipment used in order to maintain rails in a safe stress condition.
