CEO's Report on the 2013 Annual Report and Accounts

2013 was a year of significant progress for the PWI. We introduced a vastly improved website and the systems to support it. It is a big investment in the PWI's future, but is the platform that will support the Institution's future success. Membership numbers grew in the year, reversing the long-term decline that has hampered the PWI for many years. We also welcomed over fifty Members to the grade of Fellow, recognising the skills and experience of the membership base that supports the Institution. Our Sections ran an extensive programme of evening meetings and these were supplemented by two very successful technical seminars in London and Manchester. We have discovered a market need for technical seminars that are directly relevant to practising engineers and which are excellent value for money.
