Palliative care are rarely offered to women expecting a child with a severe malformation. The depiction of life with one of these defects can prevent the team to propose Palliative care. Nevertheless no data exist on the quality of life of these severely affected children. The fear of the team to attend the last moments of the child is probably a hindrance to the development of this approach, it could probably be controlled by reflection and education.
