Power Distribution Unit Controls and Protects AC Input to Electronic Systems

Most moderate to large size electronic systems require some means for controlling the ac input and also protecting the system from the vagaries of the ac line, such as EMI, transients, line dropouts, brownouts, etc. Without these control and protection capabilities, the system could be subject to poor performance, or in some cases, catastrophic operational failures. The answer is the PDU (Power Distribution Unit), sometimes called the Power Control Unit (PCU).
