摘要

One of the major emerging market drivers for equipment that processes, stores, and transmits data is availability of service. Although this has been a requirement in the telecom network for decades, it is a relatively new requirement for data center equipment. The rapid growth of the Internet and associated data traffic has resulted in the well-documented convergence to integrated, IP-based communication networks. As voice and data traffic continue to grow on these networks, quality and availability of service are becoming significant issues. The end result is a drive toward high availability for all equipment attached to the network.
