PCI gave Irwin J.Speyer,P.E.,FACI,the founder and owner of Irwin Speyer-Consulting Engineers in Croton on Hudson,N.Y.,the 2008 Medal of Honor at the awards ceremony held October 6,2008,at the 54th PCI Annual Convention and Exhibition and National Bridge Conference in Orlando,Fla. Although Speyer worked as just a one-man consulting firm throughout most of his career,he has served PCI and the concrete industry beyond what could be expected of a company with a large staff.
