Best Rehabilitated Bridge: Stillwater Viaduct

The Stillwater Viaduct over the Woonasquatucket River in Smithfield, R.I., is a landmark celebrating one of the state's early attempts to accommodate the automobile age through highway infrastructure and is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. When designers set out to rehabilitate it in 2012, they used precast concrete to seamlessly replicate the original features with a high-performance solution that will stand the test of time.
