Charles G. Salmon

Charles G. "Chuck" Salmon, emeritus professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, died in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 28, 2014. He was 83. Salmon was born in Detroit, Mich., on October 28, 1930. He first came to the University of Wisconsin's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as an instructor in 1956. He taught there for nearly 40 years. He authored several textbooks on structural analysis and design in both concrete and steel, including Reinforced Concrete Design with his colleague C. K. Wang.
