Doctoral thesis on the technical competitiveness of printing papers: Research creates an interpreter between customer and mill

Papers can be ranked in relation to their opacity, gloss or some other measurable technical characteristic. But the user, in other words the customer, often has different priorities. In her doctoral thesis, Eeva Jernstrom has studied ways of taking the customer's wishes and expectations and translating them into a language the papermaker can understand.
