Mexico - a new growing paper and paperboard market

MEXICO IS A democracy. The northern states and surroundings of the capital have the highest income level and industrialisation, while in the south the living standard is lowest. Mexicans had an average gross national income of USD 7,870 in 2006 (10,700 with purchasing power parity figures). For comparison, the US average income was USD 44,970, Canadian USD 36,170 and Finnish USD 40,650. Inflation was 4.5% in 2006, a healthy recovery from 12% in 2000.
