The world's largest cartonboard production line, Ningbo Asia Pulp & Paper's (APP) PM6 in Xiaogang, Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province, China, has reached a new milestone in its operation. On Aug 20, 2010, PM6 produced 300 g/m2 art board at the amazing speed of 1,020 m/min for 17 hours without any breaks. "Surpassing the 1,000 m/min limit is another proof of this line's capability, and the result of the combined efforts of both Ningbo APP and Metso to maintain the number one position," says Chen Hsing Liang, COO of APP industrial papers business units, in a press release issued by Metso.
