Flowserve Conducts 12th Triennial Decoking Conference

Flowserve, a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, recently held the 2012 Flowserve Decoking Conference in Long Beach, Calif. As a global leader in hydraulic decoking, Flowserve regularly holds seminars to discuss the latest advancements in decoking equipment and delayed coker safety. The 12th triennial conference included a global mix of more than 120 delegates from 30 different companies. The two and one-half day conference featured presentations from end-users and engineering procurement contractors (EPCs) on topics covering unit safety, equipment operations and reliability, and advancements in delayed coking processes. Flowserve engineers presented the latest innovations in hydraulic coke cutting, including automation technology which uses the Flowserve IPS APEX(TM) to automatically control the cutting operations from a safe, remote location. The event also featured a tour of the Flowserve facility in Vernon, Calif., along with product demonstrations and maintenance workshops.
