Stora Enso Adopts Valmet Aqua Cooling Calendering Technology to Produce Lighter Board

Pulp and paper manufacturer Stora Enso has equipped its Ingerois board mill in Finland with new aqua cooling calendering technology from Valmet. The move comes as Stora Enso decided to modernise the precalender of its board machine BM 4 that produces folding boxboard for the consumer packaging industry, in a bid to improve the quality of the produced board and make the board lighter in weight.
