D.G. Yuengling & Son, said to be the oldest operating brewery in the U.S., is believed to be the first commercial user of a whole new hot melt technology called the Freedom Adhesive Dispensing System. The Freedom System takes its name from the six freedoms that co-developers Nordson and Henkel claim the concept delivers: 1. Freedom from downtime associated with adhesive char and contamination. 2. Freedom from confusing controls and diagnostics. 3. Freedom from integration limitations caused by having to mount the system on a "parent" machine. 4. Freedom from manual adhesive filling. 5. Freedom from excessive adhesive use. 6. Freedom from adhesive availability concerns.
