CLP's recyclable retort pouch

Israeli-based CLP Industries has introduced a recyclable retort pouch. The two-ply pouch is both highly-efficient and cost-effective, and it allows consumers to recycle the package when empty. "The industry worldwide has been looking for a way to combine the benefits of retort pouches - their efficiency, performance and consumer appeal - with recyclability,'says SivanYosef, the company's product manager. 'Our new laminate has been proven to withstand the temperature and pressure of the retort process, without requiring the complex combination of films that have prevented earlier laminates from being recyclable. That means these pouches are "green" from start to finish.'
