Natal wins IPSA's Chairman's Award

IPSA members were treated to a fascinating tour of the SAB World of Beer prior to commencement of the 37th AGM at the Newton Cultural Precinct in Johannesburg.rnKeith Pearson, outgoing national chairman, presented his report.rnChairman's Award makes a debutrnThe AGM evening marked the inaugural presentation of the Chairman's Award,rnwhich was presented to the region achieving the highest marks in the areas that the national executive considered will create and deliver excellence to IPSA (SA) members and serve the packaging industry and its suppliers and customers. The award went to the Natal region and was accepted by Kishan Singh, its chairman.rnPearson went on to say that enrolment for the IPSA One-Year Packaging Diploma 2008 academic year reveals an improvement over 2007 of 17,4%, with enrolments from students coming in from Ghana and Kenya. Numbers enrolled as distance learners remain at around 30 students.
