In October 2009, Nampak Wiegand Glass was approached by Coca-Cola to submit a proposal to produce a 250ml FIFA World Cup-themed commemorative glass bottle. A limited quantity of bottles was required with a special ACL decoration to commemorate the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final draw, which took place in Cape Town on December 4, 2009.rnIn record time, Nampak Wiegand Glass was able to submit a design, gain customer approval, win the tender, and then supply bottles in time to be filled and shipped to Cape Town timeously.
