The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a commemorative coin, and an apparatus for manufacturing a commemorative coin used when manufacturing the commemorative coin using the method. According to the present invention, the method comprises the following steps of: forming a bar-shaped plating body; forming a plating layer in predetermined thickness by rotating the plating body to electroplate on the circumference of the plating body; and cutting the plating body having the plating layer in thickness of a coin.
