The system will provide the Army with an integrated ground-based air defence system, utilising a range of effectors and incorporating a beyond-visual-range capability that will be able to engage and defeat multiple threat types. APDR asked Major General Andrew Bottrell, Head of Land Systems Division, Capability and Sustainment Group about the relationship between his staff and Raytheon Australia and the impact that is having on the project's progress. He responded: "I have been very pleased with the close collaboration between the Project staff and Raytheon Australia as the Prime for this project. They have co卩ectively managed to navigate some very difficult issues through COVID and have always kept the project deliverables at the front of mind. The project represents the inner-tier of the land-based Integrated Air and Missile Defence capability-a further step toward delivering a truly integrated joint battlespace for the ADF.
