Outage costs in industrial branches caused by power interruptions

Because of the liberalization of the Euro- pean electric power market, the volatility of energy interchange is continuously increas- ing. This will result in an increasing utiliza- tion of the power grid at its transmission limits. Simultaneously minimum invest- ments in maintenance and upgrades of the power grid can be observed. The authors deal with the consequences to be expect by the industry.
