The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported 80 work-related deaths in 2010, the same number as the previous year. That translates to about 3 deaths for every 100,000 workers. Data from the preliminary 2010 Colorado Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries identified transportation fatalities-primarily highway crashes-as the major cause of job-related deaths.
