摘要

There's a hint of spring in the air in some parts of the country. But in Michigan, employers are being warned about the dangers of ice-related falls. Twenty-eight workers were hospitalized in 2015, and 60 in 2014, after falling on the ice at work. According to a new bulletin from. Michigan State University, those numbers are just the tip of the iceberg, since they do not reflect less serious injuries treated in emergency departments, urgent care clinics, or a doctor's office. Those who were injured worked in a variety of industries, with a roughly even mix between men and women and an average age of 50.
