The MG213C/Bordkanone 27 design remains a dominant force (along with the M230 Chain Gun® and the M61 Vulcan) in the international aircraft cannon market. Although it lost the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program, the Bordkanone 27 won the lucrative Eurofighter Typhoon contract. Production forecast reflects Bordkanone 27 serial production for the Eurofighter Typhoon and other ongoing requirements.
