A multicriteria model for risk sorting of natural gas pipelines based on ELECTRE TRI integrating utility theory

The principles of Utility theory and ELECTRE TRI method are integrated in a model that aims at helping transmission and distribution companies, when engaged in risk management and decision making, to consider the multiple dimensions of risk arising from pipeline accidents. The hazard scenarios are presented with a case study.
