Gas-particle two-phase flows are present in a large range of applications, whether in industrial processes (injection systems and combustion chambers in aircraft or automobile motors, fluidized bed boilers, cyclone separators...) or natural ones (dispersion of particles in the atmosphere, cloud formation...). It is thus unsurprising that the models and numerical methods used for their simulation vary greatly from one problem to the next, according to the scale and complexity of the phenomena considered. Overall, two types of approaches can be used.
