Oneok to invest in Bakken, Woodford shale projects

Oneok Partners LP will invest $405 million to $470 million through yearend 2011 to expand gathering and processing in the Bakken shale in the Williston basin in North Dakota and the Woodford shale in Oklahoma. These projects are part of a previously announced $2.5 billion to $3.5 billion investment plan. Included is construction of the 100-MMcfd Garden Creek gas processing plant in eastern McKenzie County, ND, and related expansions. Oneok COO Terry K. Spencer said producers with large acreage dedications to Oneok's assets continue to develop these areas and need additional infrastructure. With a gathering system of more than 3,500 miles, Oneok says it is the largest independent operator of gas gathering and processing facilities in the Bakken shale.
