Marketers must make changes to their shipping papers if they are transporting blended fuel containing more than 10% ethanol. The Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration says the changes are necessary to help first responders use the most effective procedures for incidents involving ethanoi.rnGasoline containing more than 10% ethanoi mixes with water and requires alcohol-resistant foam to minimize vapor breakthrough and re-ignition, among other issues. Under the final rules issued by PHMSA, marketers may continue to use their current shipping paper entries for blends of not more than 10%.
