Imports are the wild card for gasoline in the next few weeks. Only 747,000 b/d of foreign gas arrived at U.S. ports last week and 106,000 b/d of that amount went to the West Coast. Numbers represent the lowest May imports since 2003. Right now, cargo sources believe that this is a trough, and not a trend.rnThe crude stock draw of 4.1 million bbl was contrary to expectations for a build, but it still leaves 370.6 million bbl in traditional inventory, along with 719.6 million bbl in the SPR.rnThe greatest consistency in DOE data continues to surface in demand numbers. Demand for all products is still at ten-year lows and year-to-date collections show gasoline down 0.9% from 2008; distillate down 8%; and the all-inclusive petroleum nroducts cateporv down 5.7%.
