UL:Tests show E15 leak issues with some pumps

Underwriters Laboratories is warning that some of the dispensers and other equipment currently installed at service stations may be prone to leaks if marketers decide to offer E15.rnIn a report issued late last month, the Chicago-area testing firm says gaskets and seals are a clear leak liability issue. Depending on configuration, today's dispensers may contain 20 to 60 or more gaskets and seals. E15 had no noted effect on metallic parts of dispensers, although some nozzles and hose assemblies leaked after heavy use and an electric off valve did not stop fuel flow.
