The 39th weekly EIA report of 2010 had plenty of controversy. Government data suggested that gasoline demand last week soared some 535,000 b/d, moving about 257,000 b/d above the same week in 2009. The numbers did not jive with a MasterCard report which showed gas demand lagging behind last year.rnMost chain retailers say that the post Labor Day drop in demand is indeed larger than normal.
