Marketers in California are furious about an advisory issued by the state Air Resources Board that says representatives from an equipment firm will visit stations to remove nozzle hold-open clips from dispensers.rnAccording to the June 18 advisory, nozzles produced by Vapor Systems Technologies Inc. (VST), a Springboro, Ohio firm, can cause gasoline to spray when the pump is activated but before the nozzle is put into the vehicle tank. The equipment firm has a "short-term fix" - removal of the hold-open clips - and its reps will visit station to take away the clips. Marketers should cooperate with VST, ARB says.
