摘要

EPA is on track for a late-summer decision on whether to allow ethanol blends up to 15%, but will likely not offer any specific liability protection if it approves the new fuels, a senior official says.rn"We want to make sure the stations are labeled appropriately. If we decide to allow E15, we want a proper label and that would be enforced," said Marge Oge, director of EPA's Office of Transportation and Air Quality. Labeling "minimizes misfueling." The Clean Air Act offers liability protection to gasoline station owners as long as the proper labels are posted. "We're going to enforce the labels," she added, speaking on the sidelines of a National Petrochemical & Refiners Assn/API meeting this week.
