More skimming theft headed your way

Smaller, more sophisticated electronic "skimming" devices designed to steal retail customers' credit and debit card data are likely heading to the United States from overseas, according to the European ATM Security Team (EAST). EAST, a multi-national security taskforce pooling resources to tackle ATM and payment terminal theft, reported in a recent survey that one country spotted a new form of mini-skimmer that is harder to detect because it fits right inside the card reader throat. The same country also reported another new skimmer that's translucent, making it less visible.
