Legal: C-store owners pay $40K for tank violation

The owners of the Brookside Mini Mart and gas station in Wilton, N.H., agreed to pay a civil penalty of $40,000 to settle charges their corporation violated the state's law on shutting down underground petroleum storage tanks. The Hillsborough County Superior Court South has approved the consent decree between the state of New Hampshire and the defendants, ENI 626 and 630 Gibbons Highway LLC (ENI). ENI has paid the penalty in full, authorities said.
