Hurricane Ida’s impact on the EIA data was seen in the most recent bulletin, and that will probably be the case for the next few weeks as well. Refinery runs were down almost 10% in the U.S. thanks to a roughly 17% decline on the Gulf Coast. That percentage is probably still a few weeks away from improving. While gasoline production was down week on week and while that is not necessarily a surprise, the amount of finished gasoline produced when ethanol blending is involved was up some 300,000 b/d.
