Stores offer gaming in a gift card

Convenience stores commonly sell gift cards, as well as lottery tickets. Now there are products that allow c-stores to provide gaming with a gift card purchase. BetMGM, a sports betting and digital gaming operator, has partnered with TAPPP, a provider of flexible payment options, to make BetMGM gift cards available at stores in U.S. states where sports betting is legal. The card can be used to fund BetMGM accounts on betmgm.com or through the BetMGM app. The gift cards are currently sold in eight states – Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia – and the product is expected to launch in several more states in the “near future,” BetMGM said in a recent announcement.
