Superior Plus acquires NC propane distributor

Superior Plus Corp. recently said it has acquired the assets of Williams Energy Group, a retail propane distribution company based in New Bern, North Carolina. Williams, founded in 1998, is an independent 7 million-gal/year propane company with 12,000 retail and commercial customers in North Carolina. The acquisition is Superior's fifth this year and enhances its existing footprint in North Carolina and provides synergy opportunities with its recent purchase of Freeman Gas, which serves the Carolinas, Tennessee and Georgia, Superior said.
