M&A: COVID-19 knocks out big merger of indie distributors

The planned combination of independent fueldistributors Offen Petroleum and Bosselman Energy is off.The two parties announced Tuesday that they havemutually agreed to end the deal whereby Offen would haveacquired Bosselman Energy and Bosselman Carriers.The original deal was inked March 11 and was set toclose in April. Subsequent to the agreement, however, thecoronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic intervenedand had a significant impact on the transaction.
