THE SUBSEA MARKET has been one of the few bright spots for the offshore oil and gas industry following the market downturn that started in 2014. As budgets got tighter and leaner, operators and developers increasingly looked to subsea solutions to advance their projects and increase their production. At the same time, a need for greater efficiencies in the offshore space led to a number of mergers and consolidations among contractors, vendors, and original equipment manufacturers that served the market.
