Windfarms selected for Phase 1 of Polish offshore wind rollout

Long seen as a significant potential market for offshore wind, Poland took a huge step forward towards realising projects in April 2021, when the country's Energy Regulatory Office awarded contracts for difference (CfD) for offshore wind capacity to two industry teams, led by 0rsted and PGE, and RWE, respectively*.The CfDs effectively confirm the projects have been selected for the first phase of Poland's ambitious offshore wind programme, although they are subject to final approval from the European Commission.
