Citing Wood Mackenzie's projection of flat exploration and production spend through 2019, Bumi Armada's chief executive, Hassan Basma, says he believes that contractors offering "pure services" rather than a mix of services - as Bumi Armada does - will "see some hard times". Bumi Armada derives its revenue primarily from three business segments -floating production, offshore support and transportation and installation (T&I). Its floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) business contributes RM231.5 million (US$69.6 million) or the bulk of its 2014 second-quarter revenue. OSV and T&I rake in RM153 million (US$46.1 million) and RM205.6 million (US$61.9 million), respectively.
