Arctic seminar highlights new ice-ship solutions

Speaking at the 8th Arctic Passion seminar held by Aker Arctic in March 2014, Reko-Antti Suojanen, managing director of Aker Artic Technology, provided an update on some of the projects and new technology that the company is working on. As highlighted elsewhere in this issue of OSJ, the first example of an oblique icebreaker of the type developed by Aker Arctic is due to be delivered shortly by Arctech Helsinki Shipyard in Finland. The vessel was launched in December 2013.
