MAC provides update on CSS newbuild programme

Marine Asset Corporation (MAC), the company behind the Compact Semi-Submersible (CSS) design, has provided an update on its newbuild programme. The first in class, CSS Olympia, is in the final stages of clean-up and polish in readiness for handover to her new owner. The vessel was sold on delivery to Brazilian interests who have secured a long term contract with Petrobras. The second CSS, which is a maintenance vessel, is progressing well towards a scheduled delivery in June 2014. Her new Brunei owner has already secured a five year contract with Shell Brunei. The third and fourth units, CSS Venus and CSS Themis, which are sisters to Olympia, are also advancing well with delivery scheduled for August and December 2014, respectively.
