Eastern Navigation has taken delivery of a DP2 multipurpose workboat, ENA Habitat. Fitted with DP2 dynamic positioning and a four-point mooring system, a 100 tonne crane, helideck and a large, flexible back deck, the vessel is aimed at the offshore accommodation, well intervention, inspection, maintenance and repair and diving markets. The ship is fitted with accommodation for 238 people. Tan Ser Giam, managing director of Eastern Navigation, said: "We are proud to welcome our newest vessel into the fleet. This vessel incorporates over 50 years of experience in the offshore and marine industry." 85m long with a breadth of 23m, the new vessel has 10,000bhp and is designed to maintain position safely in rough weather offshore. The ship has just completed its maiden voyage into Singapore, and will soon be available for charter.
