Yuexin delivers another AHTS vessel

Guangzhou-based shipbuilder Yuexin Ocean Engineering has delivered the first of two newbuild anchor-handling tug/supply (AHTS) vessels placed by Jakarta-listed shipowner Wintermar. The 65m AHTS vessel SMS Serenity, built to a design developed by Focal Marine, was delivered to Wintermar on 21 July. The dynamic positioning AHTS vessel comes equipped with Niigata engines with a total installed power of 6,000 bhp. The 80-tonne bollard pull AHTS vessel is capable of sailing at transit speed of up to 13 knots. In addition to anchor handling, towing and supply runs, the newbuild vessel is designed to handle oil recovery and waste oil treatment operations. The vessel is capable of carrying 570m~3 of fuel oil, 300m~3 of potable water, 920m~3 of drilling mud and fluids, 170m~3 of dry bulk cargo and 10m~3 of dispersant.
