摘要

Distressed shipbuilder Jaya Offshore is the most active seller recently, offloading their vessels for cash. They have sold five vessels in the past two months worth an estimated USD 70 million in total. The transacted prices for vessels made in their Indonesian or Singapore yards are still holding up, even though the market seems to be trending downwards, led by China-built vessels. Stanford Marine, the chartering division of Gulf Marine Maintenance and Offshore Service Company (GMMOS), has bought a total of four vessels from the Singapore shipbuilder. The 2002-built Jaya Mariner 2 and the 2008-built Jaya Alpha were sold with their term contracts and will continue to be based in Southeast Asia. The former is committed to PTTEP offshore Thailand until the second half of 2010, while the latter is working with Chevron Indonesia.
