Robust activity in Asia

Much of the newbuild activity this month has occurred in the Southeast Asia region, primarily due to deliveries from Chinese shipyards. The Toisa Wave PSV newbuild was recently delivered from the Wuchang yard to Sealion Shipping, and has since sailed to Singapore for final outfitting. It is thought that Sealion is in negotiations regarding term contracts for the VS483 MKII design vessel, with a deal yet to be confirmed. On September 15, meanwhile, Vroon's VOS Apollo 5,150 bhp AHTS was delivered from the Fujian Southeast shipyard. The vessel is the third in a series of six on order at the yard. It has been fixed to start work on a Chevron contract in Thailand in October.
